11, 10, 9, 8…

182584_10151498569998098_1665747064_nDo you see it? There on the horizon? Yep, that’s 2o13. Pretty sure we’re gonna make it.

Segway: saw a funny trail on Facebook.

Friend #1: I saw a hoard of Mayans running down my street screaming. Should I be worried?

Friend #2: Dress rehearsal.

Awe, my FB friends. They keep me laughing.

When  I set out to do the “Hallowlean through New Year’s Dash” I wondered if I could do it. Here’s the conversation I had with me.

Me #1: What? You want to think up something about health (when you’re probably noshing on cookie dough under the table) every day during the most busy time of year? Are you crazy?

New, evolved me: First of all, I don’t “nosh” on cookie dough,  thank you, and second of all, yes. If it’s helpful for others and for me.

Me #2: For you? Like you have time? (And you DO nosh on cookie dough.)

New, evolved me: I’ll make time for what’s important. (I’m not even going to address the other thing.)

I’m happy to say I haven’t missed a day and I’ve relearned the concept of consistency pays off once again. Through consistency we change things. Make one little change today for your good, stick with it like glue, and when you got it, move on to the next. Pyramids were built this way. Lands were discovered.

Go forth, my friends, for you. You’re worth it.
